Fire Services Update

The Lesser Slave River Regional Fire Service is committed to protecting life, property and the environment from fire, hazardous materials, natural disasters and other emergencies. As such, the department issues a weekly report on all investigations, fire prevention activities and other Fire Services news of importance to the residents of the Lesser Slave River region.

  • Run air intake lines for SCBA compressor

  • Fawcett Lake Investigation
  • Installed new chemical dispeners
  • Completed Roland on the River paperwork to Fire Commissioner
  • Inspection completed, ST. Mary's, ST. Francis, Roland Michner, EG Wahlstrum, Lakeside Outreach, Northern Lakes Campus, Trades, and the Trades Annex

  • Prep for Regional Advisory Meeting
  • Reviewed all gear inspection form and catalogued defects that require attention

  • Visitor Information Interpretative trail work
  • Installed new plumbing for Unit 141 pump compartments
  • 2 members to FireSmart Canada conference in Whitecourt
  • Rope Rescue Training
  • Arranged sea cans at new Training Center site
