Marten Beach Truck Fill Construction Underway

Please be advised that construction has begun on the new Marten Beach potable water truck fill building. This project involves the replacement of the existing potable water truck fill building at the waste transfer site with a new truck fill station with a larger capacity in order to enhance water service to the Marten Beach community.

The construction will involve excavating equipment, trucks hauling out old earth materials and hauling in new earth materials as well as construction crews to construct the new building and all the internal water storage tanks and pumping and metering equipment. There should not be any road closures in the area, but we ask the public to respect the workers and ensure their safety by slowing down in the construction zone and obeying all the construction signage.

There will be no interruption to the potable water supply during this construction as the existing truck fill building will remain in service until the new building is functional. The waste transfer site will remain operational with the same operating schedule.

Construction is anticipated take about three months to complete. Updates will be posted on the MD’s social channels accordingly. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this time.
