Smith Vision Public Engagement

In coordination with the Smith-Hondo Association of Recreational and Agriculture Society (SHARA), the MD is engaging residents to generate awareness and gauge public feedback on the proposed multi-use surface next to the Smith Equine Arena and Grounds.

UPDATE: See the Smith Vision eurvey results Here. Throughout September, community members and area businesses will be encouraged to visit SmithVision.ca to explore the conceptual plan, review common questions & answers, see project news and share their feedback via a public opinion survey. For those not inclined to go online, info sheets and public survey postcards will be available at MD admin offices in Flatbush and Slave Lake (while supplies last).

About This Project

For several years, the Smith-Hondo Association of Recreational and Agriculture Society (SHARA) and area stakeholders have strived to develop a multi-use surface with seasonal ice next to the Smith Equine Arena and Grounds. If undertaken, this phased project would provide a facility for a variety of year-round activities for the community at large; affecting health, social interaction and general well-being for generations to come.
