Service in Smith Restored

Utility service in Smith has been restored. Crews are continuing with cleanup operations and flushing hydrants throughout the community.
Residents may notice air in their water lines over the next few days. If this occurs, please run your water until it becomes clear.
We apologize for the inconvenience this disruption may have caused and thank residents for their patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout the repair process.

Crews worked throughout the day to repair the water line; however, safety concerns identified during the work mean additional equipment and a revised approach are required to complete the repair safely and effectively and effectively.
As a result, repair work has been suspended for the evening and will resume first thing tomorrow morning. We understand this delay is frustrating and apologize for the inconvenience. We appreciate residents' patience and understanding as crews work to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
Water distribution and jug-filling services will continue as scheduled throughout the weekend. Residents are encouraged to access these services as needed while repairs remain underway.

The MD will have a representative on site at the Smith Truck Fill Station today (Friday, May 29) from 2:00–4:00 PM to fill jugs.
Residents are asked to bring their own jugs.

The MD will have a representative on-site at the Smith Truck Fill Station starting at 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday if the line has not been repaired by then.
The representative will distribute bottled water and assist residents with filling tanks as needed. Each household can receive one case of bottled water per day, while supplies last.
Truck Fill Station Available
Residents who have their own jugs are encouraged to bring them and use the Truck Fill station to collect water.
We ask that all residents please use water sparingly and conserve it for essential needs only.
Line Flushing
Once the watermain has been repaired, please flush your lines by running your water for 15 minutes prior to consumption (until it runs clear).

A water main break has occurred in Smith, causing disruptions from 9th Street to Smith School.
Currently, there is no estimated time for repairs.
The bulk water station remains operational; however, the coin-fill station located at the complex is not.
