Update as of Saturday, December 27 at 4:45pm

The Utilities team has resolved the issues, and all water restrictions in Smith and Flatbush have now been lifted.

Thank you again for your patience and cooperation, and we wish you all the very best over the holidays.

The MD has initiated a Water Conservation Notice, effective immediately.

To ensure continued service for all residents and avoid service reductions, we need the cooperation of all water utility customers and bulk water customers.

Restricted Truck Fill Usage

Bulk Truck Fill usage in Smith and Flatbush is strictly limited to:

  • Maximum: 2 m³ per day per user.

Action Required for Residents

While this notice is in effect, please conserve water wherever possible and take the following steps:

  1. Check for Leaks: Inspect your property for any indoor or outdoor leaks (faucets, toilets, hoses).
  2. Minimize Usage: Postpone non-essential water use (such as heavy laundry or vehicle washing).

Holiday Season Notice

We understand that water restrictions are particularly stressful during the holiday season. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and are working to maintain full service. Your cooperation is vital to preventing further service reductions.

Please refer back to the MD website and Facebook page for the latest updates. The MD thanks residents for their patience and cooperation.
