Due to recent events, the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River would like to remind residents and members of the public that any threats, harassment, intimidation, or unwanted physical contact directed toward MD staff are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

The safety and well-being of our employees remain a priority.

Any incidents involving threatening behaviour, harassment, intimidation, or physical contact will be taken seriously, documented, and addressed through the appropriate channels. Where warranted, incidents may be escalated to the RCMP for further investigation.

The MD is committed to providing a safe and respectful workplace in accordance with applicable Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation and requirements. MD employees are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully in all interactions, and members of the public are expected to treat MD staff with the same courtesy and respect.

The MD offers 24/7 reception support to help address urgent or time-sensitive resident requests that arise outside of regular office hours. To reach an MD department after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays or at any time during the weekend, call the main administration office number at 780-849-4888 (toll-free 1-866-449-4888) and you will be connected to a live agent.
