RCMP Seek Public Assistance in Fatal Highway 44 Collision

Slave Lake RCMP are seeking public assistance in this police investigation involving a double fatality that occurred from a head on collision on Highway 44 near Township Rd 684.
Initial reports suggest that a black Audi SUV was traveling Northbound when it crossed the center line and struck a Southbound SUV. The passenger of the Southbound SUV, a 45-year-old female, was declared deceased on scene by EMS. Both drivers were transported to hospital with serious injuries.
Slave Lake RCMP is requesting public assistance in this investigation. Any witness to the events leading up to the collision, or anyone with dashcam footage of the area around Highway 44, near Township Road 684, between 5:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., is asked to please come forth.
