The On-Farm Efficiency Program is designed to help producers enhance environmental sustainability by improving the efficiency of agricultural inputs.

This initiative aims to reduce emissions, minimize chemical runoff, and promote the efficient use of natural resources, all of which contribute to a healthier environment. The program supports the adoption of progressive and commercially available technologies that have proven successful in Alberta.

Applicants can receive up to $150,000 in total funding throughout the program's duration from 2024 to 2028, with a minimum funding of $500 per application. The program is divided into four streams, each with specific funding limits: Smart Farm Technology and Energy Efficiency are capped at $50,000 each, Farm Security at $2,000, and Efficient Grain Handling at $100,000. Certain items may have maximum grant limits.
