Potholes on our Highways (Amended)

In consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, the MD has moderated its stance on the state of regional highway infrastructure.

Earlier in March, the MD joined the Town of Slave Lake in generating public awareness of potholes on Highways heading north, east and west of Slave Lake. The objective of this awareness campaign was to encourage Premier Kenney, Minister McIver and MLA Rehn to keep our highways - and communities - safe. While regional road infrastructure remains a priority for the MD, it is inarguable that priorities have changed.

As fellow Albertans, and as Canadians, it's time for us to come together, help one another, and do what we can to forge a path through this pandemic. The MD trusts that, when resources allow, Premier Kenney and his team will refocus their efforts on fixing our roads.

For additional information, and for when things return to normal, the pothole photos can be viewed on the Town of Slave Lake Website.
