Herbicide Spraying Notice – Smith & Hondo Area
Crews are expected to begin spraying during the second week of July
Residents are advised that contractors will be conducting roadside herbicide applications in the Smith and Hondo area as part of the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River's invasive weed control program.
Crews are expected to start spraying in the second week of July. The work is expected to take about two weeks to complete.
Crews will be treating invasive broadleaf weeds growing within municipal road allowances to help protect agricultural land, native vegetation, and roadside safety.
Products being applied:
- Navius Flex (broadleaf herbicide)
- Hasten NXT (spray adjuvant/surfactant)
Caution
Please use caution when approaching roadside spray crews and follow any posted signage. If possible, avoid entering recently treated roadside ditches until the spray has dried.
