Help Shape the Alberta Disability Assistance Program
Share your insights by September 12
Those living with disabilities in Alberta, along with their support organizations, have voiced a clear message.
Albertans with disabilities, and the organizations that support them, have been clear: they want services tailored to their unique needs and abilities, not the current one-size-fits-all approach of the Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) program.
They’ve also emphasized the importance of creating pathways to employment for those who can work but still require supports.
With your input, the new Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP) program will be designed to help more Albertans with disabilities find meaningful employment while continuing to provide financial, health, and personal supports.
