Flood Advisory

Many areas throughout the Lesser Slave River region are experiencing high streamflow which may cause localized flooding in some areas.

Crews are monitoring the situation and have mobilized equipment to the affected areas.

As a general riule, please avoid flooded areas and watch for washed out roads. The MD will update this alert as conditions change.

Update July 26, 2024 at 5:15pm:

Motorists in the Sawridge Road zone are advised that Sawridge Road is closed from Bayer Road to the Town of Slave Lake limits. Please use alternate routes and avoid the area.

Update July 26, 2024 at 12:15pm:

Motorists in the Assineau area are advised that Township Road 740 is closed at the Assineau Bridge. Please use alternate routes and avoid the area.

Update July 26, 2024 at 11:30am:

Residents of Smith/Hondo are advised that Forestview Road (Township Road 702A) is closed to public travel due to a washout. Please use alternative routes, including Crosswell Road and Range Road 264, and avoid the area.
