Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) funding initiatives are a vital social cornerstone for all municipal entities.

The FCSS philosophy is based on a belief that self-help contributes to a sense of integrity, self-worth and independence.

Programs are designed to help those seeking to adopt healthy lifestyles, thereby improving the quality of life and building the capacity to prevent and/or deal with crisis situations should they arise.

FCSS is a joint venture wherein the Alberta government provides 80% of the annual budget, and the MD covers the remaining 20%.

The upcoming FCSS grant application deadline is Thursday, July 31. Visit mdlsr.ca/fcss to review the application criteria.
