Celebrating 60-years of the Slave Lake Airport
This Saturday, come together with community members, friends, and family to celebrate 60 years of the Slave Lake Airport at a free, family-friendly event.
Come celebrate 60-years of the Slave Lake Airport with the Slave Lake Airport Fly-In! on Saturday, August 16.
Highlights include:
- Live Entertainment: Performance by Tommy Charles, fresh from the BVJ stage
- Special Guests: Skye from Paw Patrol and Stuart from Minions
- Kids’ Activities: Crafts with the Art Council and face painting by Abundant Life Church
- Food Trucks: Nacho Daddy, The Cook Shack, and Susan’s Kitchen
- Aircraft Showcase: Planes and helicopters of all shapes and sizes, with opportunities to get up close
Parking options:
- Available at ATCO and Nelson Lumber
- Overflow parking at the Fair Grounds on Hwy 88 with shuttle buses to the airport
Schedule:
- Gates open at 10:30am
- Aircraft arrivals begin around 11:00am
