The MD will begin its annual Fire Hydrant Flushing Program on Tuesday, May 5.

This routine maintenance is essential for maintaining water quality and ensuring hydrants operate effectively in the event of a fire. The program is expected to take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to complete.

During this time, residents may experience temporary water discolouration and occasional drops in water pressure. It is recommended to avoid doing laundry while flushing is taking place in your area.

The MD appreciates your patience and understanding as this important work is carried out to maintain a safe and reliable water system. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Utilities team at 780.849.4888 or toll-free at 1.866.849.4888.
