Timeline Clarification: Advance Poll for Election of Reeve
October 4 is advance poll day (8am to 4:30pm)
October 4, from 8am to 4:30pm, is your opportunity to cast your vote for Lesser Slave River’s Reeve and help shape the future of our community.
During the Advance Poll period, eligible voters are encouraged to cast a ballot for one of the two Reeve candidates running in the Municipal General Election. Votes for Reeve can also be cast on Election Day, which is Monday, October 20, 2025.

Advance Poll Timeline Clarification
The MD would like to clarify an error previously published regarding the hours for the upcoming Advance Poll for Reeve candidates. Voting is now scheduled for Saturday, October 4, from 8:00am to 4:30pm (not until 8:00pm as previously advertised).
Six Council Seats Uncontested
For Lesser Slave River voters, the only ballot to cast in this Municipal Election will be for the office of the Reeve. This is because all running Councillor candidates have won by acclamation for the 2025-2029 term.
Acclamation occurs when the number of candidates equals the number of vacant seats. As a result, the outcome is predetermined, and there is no need for a voting process. The MD warmly welcomes both new and returning Council members.
