At the MD, we recognize the importance and value of education and continued learning. Our Rugged & Real Scholarship Program is designed to encourage and help support local students on their academic journey.

Every year, MD Council awards at least one Rugged & Real Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 to a deserving student who rises to the top of the application criteria. You can be a recent grad headed to university, or a mature student seeking to upgrade — or anywhere in between!

To qualify for selection, you must complete the application in the Grants & Scholarships section of the municipal website, and you must be attending (or about to attend) a post-secondary institution. The Rugged & Real Scholarship is open to MD residents only — but if you’re a non-resident working as a seasonal MD employee at the time of application, you are also qualified to apply.
