Farm & Acreage Watershed Workshop Coming in August

The MD is proud to partner with the Lesser Slave Watershed Council on the upcoming Farm & Acreage Watershed Workshop. Facilitated by the Lesser Slave Watershed Council, the workshop will take place on Thursday August 12 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Smith Community Complex.

Please note that registration is required. Admission is free. Coffee and refreshments will be provided. Learn about improving watershed resiliency, planning and budgeting for your project, applying for funding and much more!

The workshop Agenda includes:

  • LSWC Watershed Resiliency Program Goals and Funding
  • Environmental Farm Plans and Canadian Ag Partnership Funding
  • Green Acreages Program and Funding

Eligible projects include:

  • Wetland creation and conservation
  • Riparian area restoration or conservation
  • Livestock watering solutions
  • Small watercourse crossings
  • Re-vegetation
  • Small-scale erosion control
  • Aquatic habitat improvements
