Free Business Workshop Series: Mental Health & Entrepreneurs

Business owners are encouraged to take part in a series of free workshop sessions in March that focus on mental health and wellbeing for entrepreneurs.

Workshop Sessions

The mental health and wellbeing of Canadian entrepreneurs is a critical public health issue which has been exacerbated by COVID-19. The Lunch and Learn portion of this series will give an overview of the report. The workshop session will delve deeper into the issues and discussion will occur in regard to findings, outcomes and recommendations. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on what this means for them and their community.

More About This Series

This workshop is based on the research completed by the Canadian Mental Health Association and the report “Going It Alone: The mental health and well-being of Canada’s Entrepreneurs.” Small and medium sized businesses comprise 98% of Canada’s economic landscape.

Facilitator's Qualifications

Glenys Reeves, BSN, MA, PCC, CEC, Myers-Briggs Facilitator Glenys’ professional experience spans close to 30 years in a variety of sectors. She has worked as a consultant as well has served in management and leadership capacities for organizations and businesses in Alberta and Saskatchewan. She has worked in the health sector in a variety of capacities and presently is part of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Rural Mental Health Initiative in Alberta as she serves as the Mental Health Animator for her rural community.

Glenys provides coaching and consulting services to new business start-ups and existing businesses who want to expand their services. She has worked in the for-profit, not-for-profit and public sectors. Glenys’ formal training includes a Bachelor Science in Nursing, Master of Arts in Leadership (Health Specialization) and she is a Certified Executive Coach.
