Province Offers Evacuation Payments

Residents of Marten Beach who needed to evacuate as a result of the recent northwestern Alberta wildfires and/or flooding in July may be eligible for financial assistance from the Government of Alberta.

This one-time evacuation payment from the province is designed to assist affected residents who found themselves faced with immediate living costs such as accommodation, food and gas. Please note that this funding is not intended to replace any income lost as a result of the emergency events.

Under the terms of this program, eligible families will receive $1,250 for each adult, plus $500 for each child under 18 living in the same home when the evacuation order was given.

Certain rules and eligibility criteria apply. To review program requirements, please visit alberta.ca/emergency and click on Evacuation Payments. To proceed directly to the evacuation payment application form, visit evacuationpayment.alberta.ca.
