Landfill Activities and Hours of Operation

The Regional Landfill and Transfer Stations will remain open, and will continue to receive waste during regular hours.

To our valued customers and members of public from the Lesser Slave River region: the Lesser Slave Lake Regional Landfill will not be receiving any recyclable materials until further notice. We ask that you store it for now as we know the COVID-19 virus can survive for up to nine days when outside.

The Transfer Stations and Landfill will remain open, and the Commission will continue to receive waste during regular hours. Please note that staff will not be allowed to assist in unloading or handling any waste, so bring waste in a manageable volume for you to handle. If you have a cough or fever, please do not visit these facilities. If you absolutely must visit when under the weather, please wear a face mask.

The health of staff is our priority. Accordingly and in addition to the above requirements, non-staff members will not be permitted into any buildings.

The only exception to this rule will be essential contractors as required. Please follow any directions given to you by staff and be safe. Thank you.
