The Trans Canada Trail (referred to as The Great Trail since 2016) lays claim to the world's longest network of recreational trails. The Great Trail offers a wide range of activities through a variety of landscapes: wilderness, urban, rural, greenways, blueways and roadways. Upon completion, The Great Trail will stretch nearly 24,000 kilometers from the Atlantic to the Pacific and Arctic oceans, linking Canadians in 1,000 communities. True to its name, The Great Trail embodies both the vastness of our terrain and the diversity of our people.
