Health & safety acknowledgement
The MD of Lesser Slave River Health and Safety Policy
The safety of our team, visitors and contracting employers is extremely important to us. Please observe the following safety rules for your own protection and for the safety of others.
Signature Required
To gain access to an MD-managed site, you must sign and submit your acknowledgement at the bottom of this page.
Security
- All persons must check in with reception before entering a non-public area
- Unless otherwise instructed, persons must be always accompanied by a MD of Lesser Slave River representative
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- The following area require PPE to be worn:
- CSA approved steel toed safety footwear and reflective vest are required when in shop and Transportation Yard
- Hearing protection is required to be worn while in designated spots due to equipment operation
Emergency Evacuation Procedure
- Emergency exits are clearly marked throughout our facilities
- In the event of an evacuation, a member of our team will assist you in exiting through the closest emergency exit and going to our muster point
Incidents
- If you injure yourself, please inform an MD representative
General Safety
- If moving equipment is present, allow extra space where necessary
Worksite Hazard and Controls
- Should a worksite hazard arise (outside of those listed on this safety information sheet), an MD worker will notify you immediately and inform you of the hazard controls implemented to mitigate the risk to you
Violence and Harassment in the Workplace
- The MD of Lesser Slave River has a zero tolerance of violence and harassment at our site
Performing Work
- If you are performing work at one of our sites, you are responsible to be fully aware of your Alberta OHS legislative requirements
