Volunteer Firefighters enhance Lesser Slave Regional Fire Service by helping to provide quick response to emergencies; host fire safety education sessions; and support a spectrum of activities across our fire halls.

Basic Requirements for our Recruits

• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Criminal records check including vulnerable sectors check
• Driver’s abstract
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to pass the LSRFS Physical Agility Testing
• Current Standard First Aid/CPR (asset)
• Previous firefighting experience (asset)
