We’re kicking off a brand-new spring tradition across Municipal District No. 124 — and you’re invited to take part!
The Spring Sweep Community Sale is a district-wide event happening June 5–7, 2026, where residents and local businesses across the MD can host garage sales, acreage sales, and special deals all in one big weekend.
Participants register their location and are added to an official online map, making it easy for shoppers to plan their route and explore sales across the region. Whether you're clearing out the garage, cleaning up the shop, or offering a special promotion at your business, Spring Sweep is a great way to welcome the season, clear out clutter, and connect with your community.

What is the Spring Sweep Community Sale?
Think of it as a district-wide spring clean! Residents and businesses throughout MD No. 124 host garage sales, acreage sales, and special promotions all on the same weekend. All registered participants are added to an online map, helping shoppers easily find sales throughout the district.
How does it work?
Sign up online with your location and a short description of your sale. Once your registration is approved, your location will be added to the official event map so shoppers can easily plan their route. You can also download printable participant signs and arrow signs to help guide visitors to your location.
Cost to participate?
None at all — participation is completely free. Spring Sweep is all about clearing out the clutter, meeting neighbours, and giving unused items a second life. After all, your “old stuff” might be someone else’s perfect find.
Who can participate?
- Residents
- Anyone located within Municipal District No. 124 can register a sale at their home, acreage, or property.
- Businesses
- Local MD businesses are also welcome to participate by offering special promotions or sales during the Spring Sweep weekend.
Do I have to sell all three days?
No. Participants can choose to sell on:
- Friday
- Saturday
- Sunday
- or any combination of those days.
You decide what works best for your schedule.
When will my sale appear on the map?
The online map will be updated periodically leading up to the event to help shoppers plan their route. The final update will take place the week of the sale and will include all registrations received before the registration deadline.
Where can I get participant signs?
Printable participant signs and directional arrow signs will be available for download. Participants can print these signs at home and place them along nearby roads to help guide shoppers to their sale.

All events must be local in nature (either hosted within one of the communities of Lesser Slave River or in support of a regional initiative of public interest), and must adhere to our terms of use. The MD reserves the right to choose which events appear on the community calendar.

Community Calendar Summary
The community calendar is a moderated user-access tool to help showcase and promote community events and activities of interest to Lesser Slave River area residents, business owners and visitors. We invite individuals and community groups to promote eligible local events on this calendar.
All events submitted for publication on the community calendar are subject to public disclosure under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. The MD reserves the right to restrict, delete or refuse to post any submission that in their sole opinion is deemed inappropriate, at any time and without notice.
Submission Approvals
Before an event submission can be published, it must be reviewed by MD administrators for compliance with the terms of use. Decisions on whether or not to add, remove or deny any posting to the community calendar shall be made at the sole discretion of the MD.
Eligible Events
The following types of events are eligible for inclusion on the community calendar:
- Community meetings and events
- MD-sponsored events
- Farmers’ markets within the Lesser Slave River region
- Not-for-profit organization events
- Multicultural events and celebrations
- Not-for-profit events such as exercise, art and culture classes or meetings open to the community
- Registered not-for-profit and charity fund raisers
Ineligible Events
The following event types are not allowed on the community calendar:
- Any event that is commercial in nature and, in the MD's sole opinion, attempts to advertise, promote or sell products or services of an individual or an individual business
- Any private, for-profit business content
- Contests
- Personal garage sales
- Political events including notices of partisan political gatherings, nomination meetings and constituency events
- Recruitment events
- Regularly-scheduled faith services

Restricted Content
Any submission containing the following content will be disallowed, and the submitter will be banned from the community calendar:
- Profane language and content
- Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation
- Sexual content or links to sexual content
- Regular scheduled events (e.g. fitness classes, dance lessons, etc. that are not taking place within a municipal facility)
- Private events such as family reunion, weddings, birthdays, etc.
- Contains spam or advertising
- Content that promotes illegal activities
- Content that promotes particular services, products or political organizations
- Content that pomotes individual religions or regularly-scheduled religious services
- Information that may tend to compromise the safety and security of the public or the MD
- Content that violates a legal ownership of any other party
- Content that violates any federal, provincial, or municipal statute or regulation, or a bylaw or policy of any member municipality
