Sewer Connections Communication

Recently, as part of MD Council's efforts to ensure that residents along the Southshore Sewage Collection Lines are hooked up to the system, as required by MD legislation and for environmental protection, residents who do not have a known connection to the system have been contacted about arranging a connection.

2018 Re-Gravel Program

The MD owns and operates 4 gravel pits within its boundaries. In 2018, Council approved an increased annual re-gravel program to protect approximately 240 kilometres of local roads. The local roads re-gravelling strategy is on a three-year rotation.

Utility Rate Increase

Please be advised that Council has recently passed two bylaws (2018-03 & 2018-02) that will result in a 2% increase for all water and sewer accounts within the MD.
