Fire Services Update

The Lesser Slave River Regional Fire Service is committed to protecting life, property and the environment from fire, hazardous materials, natural disasters and other emergencies. As such, the department issues a weekly report on all investigations, fire prevention activities and other Fire Services news of importance to the residents of the Lesser Slave River region.

  • 3 Duty Officer-1500 Holmes Trail/1294 Southshore Drive/1033 10A Ave SE/
  • 3 MVA -69571 RG RD 262/HWY 88 at Gilwood/Salteaux River

  • Repair Unit 161 back up alarm
  • Repaired Unit 251 hose reel rewind
  • Assisted with new SCBA
  • Repaired numerous items between rural and town equipment and halls
  • Attended Opening for Connor Lukan Memorial Park

  • Picked up New SCBA from Edmonton assisted with assembly
  • Worked with TSAG, propane fires, Public Edmonton & Hose Testing
  • Ordered Service Awards
  • Attended Open House for Connor Lukan Memorial Park

  • Assisted TSAG
  • Assisted with new SCBA
  • Ordered SAR AED
  • Worked on First Aid Supplies
  • Attended Open House for Connor Lukan Memorial Park

  • Hall 1 -Special Teams Training
  • Hall 2 –Rural Addressing Exercise

  • Met with Parkland FD & Tour them through SPU & WUI Program
  • VIC Trail install signs
  • Contact Gilwood/Summerwood about clean up day
  • Fix TOSL first aid roster issues
  • Schedule NLC EMT students for MVA Training
  • Firesmart Home Assessments
  • Collect all Forestry Wildfire gear to return for season
  • Open Member assisted with SCBA pick up and assembly
  • Attended Open House for the new Connor Lukan Fitness Park
