Fire Services Update

The Lesser Slave River Regional Fire Service is committed to protecting life, property and the environment from fire, hazardous materials, natural disasters and other emergencies. As such, the department issues a weekly report on all investigations, fire prevention activities and other Fire Services news of importance to the residents of the Lesser Slave River region.

  • Leigh on vacation

  • Assisted with setup of outdoor gym
  • Assisted with millings
  • New helmets for FF finishing up probation
  • Worked with Estevan Fire Dep on assisting with SOG’s
  • Assisted with burn cell creation
  • Mounted projector in bays for big screen
  • Worked with TSAG make sure they were ready for their next weekend course
  • AB Emergency Alert Training REOC -RCMP Taser Course in War Room

  • Airbrake course for 4 members
  • Assisted with hauling millings’
  • Assisted with outdoor gym set up
  • Smile Cookie schedule finish up for next week
  • Ordered flags for conference
  • Ordered AED pads
  • Drywall work at the bunkhouse
  • Verified nothing was stolen at Flatbush radio room

  • Hall 1 Search & Rescue/Pump Training
  • 4 Members off probation
  • SAR-Skill Assessments written/Trailer Hookups & Unhitching/ATV & UTV Recerts

  • 2 members on annual vacation
  • Equipment prep for fall/winter season
  • CVFSA projects and prep work
  • Organize Wildfire Equipment for TSAG
